Payments and Fees
Getting Paid Overview
Our payment system employs an automated mechanism to divide payments between the marketplace and sellers through Stripe. Here's a breakdown of how this system typically operates:
Customer Payment: When a customer makes a purchase on the marketplace, they submit their payment through Stripe. The Stripe system automatically splits the payment into two parts: one for the marketplace and the other for the seller.
Marketplace Fee: The portion designated for the marketplace represents the marketplace fee or commission. The marketplace receives its share of the payment immediately upon purchase, reflecting the fee for facilitating the transaction.
Seller Payment: The segment allocated to the seller is not held by Stripe.
Transaction Fees: It's important to note that Stripe may charge transaction fees for each payment received, both for the marketplace and the seller. These fees are deducted before the funds are disbursed.
