FAQ Seller

To keep Surplus Eco Store a safe place, sometimes we remove listings that violate our policies. If we remove your listing, we'll send you an email to your Messages and to your registered email address explaining why.

The following information is required when lisitng a product:

• Product Name (includes model, brand and dimensions)
• Pricing (excl. Tax)
• Category the product is assigned to
• Brand of the item so it can found under Brand searches
• Images that clearly show the product
• Description of the product (don't copy from the manufacturer website as this will impact the SEO of your listing)
• Weight of the shipped item. This is used calculate shipping costs

To start click on the seller application form, it is simple and will take you minutes to complete. Once approved, you will receive a welcome email.

No there is no cost to become a seller, the Starter plan is free.

You will need the following information:

1. Online Terms and Conditions for selling your products online.
2. Your Logo (.png or .jpg)
3. Setup your payment gateway with Stripe.com. This necessary to ensure you are able to receive your payments from Surplus Eco Store.
4. Ensure you have setup Shipping Account with Australia Post (for the Australia marketplace). All shipping rates will be using Australia Post. Any costs over what is paid by your customer is to be covered by you.

Once your account has been created, you can login into your seller portal vis this link.

Once approved, you will receive a welcome package, instructions and videos on how to login/register to your Seller Store and upload your own products, update pricing and more.

Message center allows you and your vendors to stay in touch with customers. On the Users → Message center

• read customers’ messages;
• answer those messages, including customers’ questions on specific products or orders.

The right side of the page contains the context (for example, information about the product or order), which allows you to understand the customer’s question better. The link leads the vendor to the product page or order right from the dialogue.
